The Opportunity The Territory Sales Representative position is a key role focused on developing the Los Angeles region and surrounding markets. The primary objective is to drive revenue through subcontractors who purchase the products, and to deliver top service while developing and maintaining strong collaborative ties assisting architects in the specification stages and general contractors on bid opportunities. This position serves as the primary link between the design community and the construction professionals who bring projects to completion.

Primary Responsibilities

Revenue Generation:

A primary focus remains on the subcontractor level to secure project orders and manage the purchasing phase of the sales cycle.

Bidding & Quoting:

Daily activities include reviewing project plans for bid opportunities and collaborating with manufacturers to provide accurate, timely quotes.

Order Coordination:

Responsibility for order presentation, and managing submittal timelines to ensure product delivery aligns with construction schedules.

Architectural & General Contractor Engagement

Specification Management:

Regular meetings with architects and specifiers ensure that represented products are included in project designs.

Technical Education:

Deliver presentations to the design community provides necessary updates on product performance and industry standards.

Strategic Collaboration:

Partnership with General Contractors allows for project alignment and secures brand awareness and trust throughout the bidding process.

Field Operations & Technical Service

On-Site Presence:

A consistent field schedule of 3–4 days per week is required to maintain customer relationships and provide on-site support.

Project Oversight:

Field visits and site inspections ensure successful product application and address technical challenges in real-time.

Building Envelope Specialists:

Individuals currently selling exterior building products (facades, roofing, or cladding) looking to leverage their expertise with a premier agency.

Architectural Consultants:

Professionals with a track record of calling on design firms and securing product specifications.

Subcontractor/Installation Professionals:

Project Coordinators, Engineers, or Sales staff currently working within a commercial subcontractor or general contractor firm who understand the management of the project lifecycle.

Emerging Professionals:

Highly motivated recent graduates with a degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, paired with previous sales or internship experience.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year of experience in architectural or technical sales is preferred.

Proficiency in reading architectural plans and understanding technical specifications.

Strong oral and written communication skills with a focus on professional responsiveness.

A disciplined approach to field-based work and a service-oriented mentality.

Architectural Resources offers a competitive compensation package featuring a base salary between $60,000 and $85,000, commensurate with professional experience. In addition to the base, a structured commission program is provided, with targeted first-year total compensation potential of $110,000 or more. The role is fully supported by a comprehensive travel reimbursement plan, along with a monthly internet stipend. Additional benefits include an employer contribution to health insurance, paid vacation, sick leave, and observed holidays.
