We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support HVAC and plumbing system design in a collaborative environment with flexible work arrangements. Candidates must be located in the Northeast to support regional collaboration. Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and draft construction documents for HVAC, plumbing, water, sewer, and natural gas systems, including riser diagrams. Coordinate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to produce construction documents and perform quality control. Assist in construction administration, client communication, and budget management. Apply national standards (IMC, IPC, ASHRAE) and software such as AutoCAD, REVIT, Trane Trace, and energy calculation tools. Qualifications
B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. None required for licensure. Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, Trane Trace, and energy calculation methods. Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing design, construction documents, and national standards. Ability to perform medium to difficult design challenges independently. Experience in training new employees and answering technical design questions. About HFA
