Work Schedule Days: Monday - Friday
Hours: 1st Shift TBD
Compensation Base Pay: 65k-80k annually
In this role, you will
Review group account and ancillary billings for our hospital partners
Update and maintain CPT and billing codes in all financial systems
Update and maintain multiple fee schedules in our financial systems
Assist in the preparation of reports as required
Assist other departments and billing teams as needed
Submit claims (manually or electronically) to insurance payers in a timely manner
Prepare, verify, electronically submit or mail periodic billing statements to customers/clients in a timely manner
Accurately process, reconcile and post payer/patient payments to customer accounts
Investigate and resolve rejected/denied claims and resubmit for payment to the insurance provider and/or patient
Review and respond to correspondence in accordance with company policies and procedures
Respond to and resolve issues for customers in a timely and efficient manner
Perform sorting, filing, typing, photocopying, and data entry as required
Perform account collection activities as required
Adhere to confidentiality, safety, compliance, and legal requirements
Maintain consistent and reliable attendance and comply with company guidelines on attendance
Perform other duties as assigned
All You Need Is
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in laboratory science is preferred
Medical coding (ICD‑10, CPT, HCPC) knowledge preferred
Manual/electronic claim filing and processing knowledge preferred
Minimum three (3) years office experience required, preferably in a medical billing environment
Experience and proficiency with accounting software, PC computers including word processing and spreadsheets, and 10‑key calculators
Strong math, analytical, and data entry skills required
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills required
