The Estimator will also mentor junior estimators, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. Responsibilities
Obtain RFPs from various sources Prepare lump sum bids and pre-construction bids Analyze project documents and drawings, translating them into scope sheets for team and client communication Develop budgets utilizing in-house data to evaluate potential projects Engage in negotiations post-bid submission Oversee multiple projects, currently managing three active bids Work on office and retail renovations, with aspirations to expand into larger ground-up projects Support junior estimators and provide insights on process improvements Requirements
5-10 years of experience as an Estimator Ability to conceptualize budgets and lump sum bids Experience within commercial office/retail general contracting Comprehensive understanding of construction projects from inception to completion Experience in Northern NJ is preferred, but flexibility may be considered Adept at providing insights on process streamlining Experience with both union and non-union subcontractors A BA degree in engineering is a plus Experience with corn shell construction is preferred Benefits
