
Overview
Job Description To protect and enhance Oregon's fish and wildlife and their habitats for use and enjoyment by present and future generations. Note: Effective Feb. 1, 2026, the compensation plan for this position will be increased to reflect a Cost-of-Living Adjustment (COLA) of 2.5%. The salary listed in this posting does not reflect the COLA. We are hiring for one part-time, permanent position located in Charleston, Oregon. Position will work 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will collaborate with the hiring manager for a specific schedule, as the manager has flexibility on what hours/days can be worked.
What You Will Do
In this position, you will provide a variety of clerical support services for the Charleston Field Office, which include commercial and recreational license sales and public contact/reception on the phone or in person to provide information or appropriate referrals. You will explain state regulations, policies, and procedures to the public and issue recreational and commercial licenses. You will also assist in inventorying supplies, word processing, preparing and processing purchasing documents, data entry from field staff reports and assisting staff with photocopying, faxing, and typing. Minimum Qualifications
What we are looking for: To be considered for this position, all applicants must meet one of the following options: Option 1: Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents Option 2: An associate degree (or higher) in any field Option 3: An equivalent combination of education and experience

Working in a fast-paced office with multiple priorities Using Microsoft Word, and Excel Process invoices and related purchasing documents Reviewing customer documents for authenticity and accuracy Using a computerized point of sale machine and cash register Customer service experience and/or exposure working with fish and wildlife
