FSQS Supplier Management Specialist

to manage and oversee supplier risk assessment, supplier audits, along with risk assessment for raw materials. Responsibilities

Manage all supplier performance related activities

Approval of new suppliers, co-man and external warehousing

Perform risk assessment and food fraud evaluation for raw material items

Ongoing monitoring procedures to ensure that all suppliers of raw materials and packaging are manufacturing products under food safe conditions.

Qualifications and Attributes

Can identify potential safety hazards and compliance issues and provide strong leadership to ensure correction and compliance.

Can identify and audit, as well as communicate accuracy of data

Have a strong technical knowledge of raw material properties and test methodologies

Can effectively communicate findings and requirements to suppliers, co-manufacturers and external warehouse sites.

Have a true passion for food safety and quality.

Qualified Candidates Will Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Science (preferred BS in Food Science)

Minimum of 3-5 years Food Safety/Quality Systems or Food Product Development or Food Regulatory experience in a food environment

FSQS Auditor certified

BRCGS or other GFSI standard training

Willingness to work onsite at either Alsip, IL or Lithonia, GA

This role is affiliated to the Alsip, IL or Lithonia, GA location, and candidates for this role need to reside within a commutable distance to that location. You may be asked to travel to other locations periodically for meetings.
