The Team : Join the Credit Solutions (CS) Sales team at S&P Global, focused on serving the largest, most strategic Financial Institutions across the Americas. Our solutions—including RatingsDirect, RatingsXpress, Credit Analytics, Scorecards, and Analytical Services—are at the core of our clients' credit risk and investment workflows. You'll be part of a high‑performing, collaborative team backed by subject matter experts in Pre‑Sales Engineering.
Job Overview and Purpose:
This is a great opportunity for a proven sales professional with deep financial markets expertise and a track record of sourcing and closing new business. As a Sales Specialist, you will be responsible to expand the firm’s US Community Banks footprint with executive‑level stakeholders. Your mandate is to drive revenue growth by deeply visiting with customers across the US region, understanding their credit modeling and reporting challenges, and positioning S&P Global’s Credit Solutions as essential, and expanding strategic footprint across complex accounts.
Responsibilities and Impact
Consistently exceed revenue targets by identifying, developing, and closing new business and expansion opportunities within Financial Institutions.
Navigate and manage complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders and decision‑makers, including C‑suite and senior credit executives.
Leverage your deep understanding of financial markets and credit workflows to run high‑impact, diagnostic client conversations.
Partner across the organization—including Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and the Account Management—to deliver coordinated, high‑touch client experiences.
Maintain impeccable pipeline hygiene, forecasting accuracy, and strategic account planning within CRM.
Provide feedback from client conversations to shape product strategy and innovation.
Act as a credit solutions thought leader internally and externally, continuously staying ahead of market trends.
Compensation/Benefits Information (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,773 to $109,772. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.

What We Are Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications:
3-6 years of enterprise sales experience, with a strong record of outperforming sales quotas—ideally in credit analytics, financial data, risk solutions, or capital markets.
Deep understanding of financial markets, credit risk workflows, and the decision‑making landscape within commercial banks.
Proven ability to establish, nurture, and expand relationships at the senior executive level.
Consultative, client‑first approach rooted in problem‑solving.
