Overview OmniByte is seeking a motivated and growth-oriented

Associate Account Executive (AAE)

responsible for generating pipeline, driving net-new business, and managing smaller deals full cycle from prospect to thriving customer. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about consultative selling. The role is open to candidates who are willing to work in-person in our Fargo, ND office.

The AAE will work closely with the

Global Sales Director —supporting sales strategy, executing prospecting motions, qualifying opportunities, and advancing deals through to close. The role will thrive on delivering value to both prospects and customers and will contribute directly to OmniByte’s mission: Empower companies to capture and utilize critical business data via simple, relevant, and portable solutions

Responsibilities

Execute outbound prospecting through phone, email, social, and partner channels.

Qualify inbound and outbound leads to build a healthy revenue pipeline.

Research accounts, identify decision makers, and tailor outreach to customer needs.

Sales Execution (End-to-End for Smaller Deal Sizes)

Manage the full sales cycle for SMB/smaller deals—from discovery to close.

Support larger strategic pursuits as needed under direction of the Global Sales Director

Maintain accurate and timely CRM updates to track activities, pipeline, and forecasting.

Revenue Growth & Expansion

Identify and drive cross-sell and expansion opportunities within existing customers.

Meet or exceed individual revenue targets focused on net-new licenses and expansion.

Sales Strategy & Collaboration

Work closely with the Global Sales Director to refine territory plans, messaging, and strategic priorities.

Collaborate with marketing on targeted campaigns and lead generation initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Additional coursework or certification in sales, customer engagement, or SaaS/technology solutions is a plus.

Ongoing commitment to professional development in sales methodologies and industry knowledge.

2–4 years of experience in SDR, BDR, inside sales, or similar revenue‑focused role (SaaS preferred).

Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, pipeline building, and closing smaller-sized sales.

Highly organized, with excellent verbal and written communication skills

High degree of responsiveness and ability to manage a high volume of activity.

Experience with CRM solutions (HubSpot experience a plus).

Self‑starter with strong work ethic and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Team player committed to creating long‑term customer value.

Working Conditions

Normal business office environment; may require occasional weekend, early morning, and/or evening work.

Travel to company, customer, partner, and vendor sites (including international) up to 15% of time.

Physical demands for extended periods: sitting, standing, walking (95-100%), keyboarding (40-60%), viewing computer monitor and video calls (50-70%).
