
AutoCAD Drafter
Project Resources Group (PRG) is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Drafter with background in Civil or Public Utility Construction Design. This role focuses on the surveying, overlaying, analysing, preparation, and submission of impact analysis packages to the NYCDDC.
Responsibilities
Initial review and virtual survey of upcoming municipal projects
Gathering and examination of utility plates
Calling for mark outs in the proposed work zones
In person walk outs of areas within proposed work zone where utilities are present
Perform post survey utility interference analysis
Produce overlays and engineer estimates to be included in utility packages
Manage project deadlines with NYCDDC
Attend city preconstruction meetings
Perform additional drafting and project‑related tasks as assigned
Qualifications
Associate degree in Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent work experience
Minimum 1 year of AutoCAD drafting experience, preferably in civil or public utility construction related fields
Experience interpreting and drafting civil and/or public utility construction prints
Previous work experience with design, construction, utility, or engineering firms
Knowledge of GIS systems is a plus
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access etc.)
