Summary Hibbett seeks individuals with great integrity to fill positions of store loss prevention. The Asset Protection Associate is a highly visible position; the ideal person must have a positive attitude and pay great attention to detail.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintain floor awareness, observing behavior and body language that would be a strong indicator of possible theft.
Communicate suspicious behavior to managers.
Work with managers to ensure every associate’s personal belongings are checked prior to leaving the store.
Thank customers for their business as they leave the store and invite them back.
Be prepared to stop and confront any customers that have been observed concealing merchandise.
Provide detailed information to police of any individuals who have stolen merchandise.
Protect the company’s assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
Positive customer service skills that will be used when interacting with store personnel and customers.
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally.
Attention to detail, time management, and ability to multi-task.
Required to stand for the entire shift; no sitting during scheduled observation periods.
