
Admissions Representative (On-Site)
Location: Ft. Myers, FL
The Admissions Representative works in a dynamic team environment to facilitate student enrollment at Rasmussen University. The role is responsible for delivering attentive, timely, and effective service to students throughout the admissions process, building strong relationships with prospective students through extensive outreach, including calls, emails, click‑to‑chats, text messages, and in‑person meetings.
Responsibilities
Recruitment goal achievement, contributing to team goal; work with students from inquiry through census.
Outbound engagement, scheduling appointments, conducting informational interviews, assisting in completion of student funding and financial aid planning, background checks, immunizations, documentation in SIS per compliance, and follow‑up with enrolled students as needed.
Maintain accurate knowledge of program and services, entrance requirements, accreditation, tuition, and fees.
Assist students through enrollment efficiently with student account services, re‑entry process, transfer credits, scheduling, and financial aid.
Build relationships with prospective and current students, listen to identify student needs.
Accurately present university programs, guide through career choices and enrollment steps.
Strict adherence to institutional, governmental, accreditation policies.
Represent university professionally to students, staff, constituents.
Develop and monitor reports to enhance recruiting strategies.
Cultivate positive team environment; demonstrate accountability and dependability.
Support policy and procedural changes to ensure student success.
Share best practices and constructive feedback with peers.
Participate in community events to promote brand awareness.
Show commitment to mission, vision, values, and diversity.
Reporting Relationships The Admissions Representative reports to either the Director of Admissions or Associate Director of Admissions, depending on location, and has no direct reports.
Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Minimum of one year of relevant experience (education services, admissions counseling, customer service, employee recruitment).
General knowledge of higher education industry preferred.
Flexible schedule, evenings and weekends.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven customer service experience in a professional environment.
Self‑motivated, flexible, team‑oriented.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with students, management, and peers.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Professional appearance and telephone manner are essential.
