The Opportunity

The Business Development Representative acts as a liaison between the commercial team and both internal stakeholders and TC Energy customers to capture business growth/revenue opportunities that deliver value to customers and the company.

The Business Development Representative is responsible for leading the development of new and existing interconnection requests and pursuing new business opportunities, often acting as the first point of contact with potential customers. They play a key role in developing and implementing commercial strategies, coordinating projects, and building relationships with both internal stakeholders and TC Energy customers to capture business opportunities that deliver value to customers and the company.

What You\'ll Do

Identify value and aid in the development of business strategies to capture business growth/revenue opportunities that deliver value to customers and the company

Develop and execute strategies taking into consideration issues such as customer needs, the physical capabilities of the Company’s pipeline and storage assets, federal and state regulatory environments as well as broad economic and market trends

Coordinate dedicated cross-functional teams through origination, development, and execution

Act as a liaison between the commercial team, evaluations, engineering, legal and regulatory, and other internal stakeholder groups as required, in matters such as obtaining analysis of facilities to serve new market opportunities, cost estimates, financial models, project execution, contract preparation, legal matters, regulatory matters, and management\'s approval of projects

Manage commercial project execution of large growth programs from project approval and funding through project completion by ensuring all contractual obligations are met and all stakeholders are coordinated to meet the project’s commercial objectives

Maintain customer communication and engagement through growth program execution

Track and convey key project milestones to Commercial leadership

Adapt to challenges and obstacles that arise throughout project execution by problem-solving with stakeholders and driving to a solution that meets both TC Energy and customer goals

Support administration of contracts and agreements related to transportation services, interconnections, and other project related arrangements

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, or related disciplines

5 years of progressive and proven experience in natural gas transportation

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate creativity

Display passion and motivation to contribute to a large commercially oriented organization

Demonstrate personal alignment with our core values of Safety in every step, Personal accountability, One team, and Active learning

Preferred Qualifications

10+ years of progressive and proven experience in natural gas transportation

Post-graduate degree (i.e., MBA, CFA)

Team player with the ability to collaborate and interact with other groups

Resilient and self-motivated

Passion for excellence, backed by a track record of accountability and integrity

Flexible, self-reflective, and adaptable to change
