Support the Global Commercial Director in designing and executing the U.S. commercial strategy for the plant protein business, including defining sales objectives, growth targets, customer portfolio, and commercial activities. Deliver the U.S. commercial strategy and achieve pipeline, revenue goals, and business objectives through on‑site visits, technical support, and account development. Act as the LDC representative and point of contact for U.S. customers across the entire buying cycle, ensuring a first‑class service and a positive customer experience with all LDC functions. Represent LDC for U.S. customers requiring technical support in close collaboration with the applications team. Manage existing business, develop new customers and customer projects, and create new cross‑selling opportunities with differentiated and innovative products. Manage pricing, contracts, sales forecasts, and supply chain in collaboration with Supply Chain. Collaborate with the applications team to analyze customer processes and formulations, recommend ingredient selection or process adjustments for cost savings and quality improvements, and identify new product innovation opportunities. Support technical teams in conducting trials related to customer projects, including prototyping, development, or fine‑tuning of recipes and process developments. Network with customers, industry players, and partners and build relationships within the food industry including visits at LDC facilities and participation in conferences and industry events. Record and share relevant customer activities and project updates via regular reporting and using knowledge management and CRM tools. Takes full responsibility for delivering on commitments, meeting deadlines, and achieving results with minimal supervision. Qualifications
Five (5) or more years of experience in the food industry as sales, business development, or technical scientist. Experience within pea proteins sales. Experience in R&D product development and go‑to‑market. In‑depth knowledge of food science. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Commercial acumen and persuasive negotiation skills to close deals successfully. Strong understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and business drivers to make sound commercial decisions. Advanced negotiation skills to secure win‑win outcomes and drive business growth. Adaptable, thrives in dynamic environments, and remains focused and effective under pressure. Additional Information
Typical office equipment: PC, printer/scanner. Domestic and international travel required up to 50% of the time. Interacts closely with personnel in other departments and company locations. Extensions of regular working hours are occasionally necessary to complete time‑sensitive projects or to respond to emergencies. No direct employee supervision. Benefits
