Associate Photographer Associate Photographers collect media for Homes.com and Apartments.com using Pro 3 Matterport, digital cameras, and an iPad to create virtual tours, floorplans, and photography for residential homes. Each photographer is assigned a core territory and serves clients of these marketplaces.

Photographers receive appointments on defined dates and times to scan homes and apartments with Matterport Pro3 cameras, capturing virtual tours and floor plans. They also perform residential photography for marketing purposes to advertise properties to future owners and renters. The role works closely with clients, sales associates, logistics, and the management team. Photographers are remotely managed by a Photography Manager located in local markets.

Responsibilities

Support marketing efforts on Homes.com and Apartments.com by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.

Create a portfolio of photographs that best feature homes and apartments, utilizing photography techniques to capture the spaces in the most pleasing way possible.

Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.

Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities, initiatives, and tasks.

While not photographing a home, navigate one‑mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage; identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.

Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.

Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.

Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.

Physical Requirements

Repetitive and frequent sitting in a car, standing, and walking for up to 8 hours per day.

Lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 5 pounds.

Perform repetitive hand and arm movements to type on a tablet or laptop and operate camera equipment.

Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, lifting, twisting, and carrying are necessary to perform job functions.

Work outside during all seasons.

Work weekends on a rotating schedule.

Qualifications

At least 2 years of professional experience.

Real estate photography experience required.

Experience as a professional photographer or a recently earned degree in photography.

Strong time‑management skills and strong attention to detail.

Accurately capture and enter data.

Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills.

Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and Internet applications.

Enjoy working independently in a fast‑paced environment.

Field experience preferred.

Current and valid driver’s license.

Satisfactory completion of a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.

Compensation The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus‑eligible. Bonuses are paid on a monthly cycle and are based on performance against pre‑determined metrics. The hourly pay amounts to an annual equivalent of $50,000, with opportunity for monthly bonuses.
