Job Summary
The Trainer & Instructional Designer leads the design and delivery of learning programs that support the Bank’s strategic priorities. This position develops clear learning objectives designed to meet individual learner needs. The Trainer & Instructional Designer collaborates with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine appropriate course content. This position develops and facilitates training sessions, workshops, and other educational activities utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and formats. This position reports to the Learning & Development Manager and provides excellent service and support to team members and customers while demonstrating the Company’s values and supporting the mission. Job Duties And Responsibilities
Design and deliver learning programs that support the Bank’s strategic priorities Develop clear learning objectives designed to meet individual learner needs Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to determine appropriate course content Develop and facilitate training sessions, workshops, and other educational activities utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and formats Implement e-learning strategies, including online courses and webinars, to enhance accessibility and convenience of learning programs Design training and job aids for instructor-led and online delivery Develop assessments to monitor and evaluate learning effectiveness Assess the current state of training content and drive improvements, creativity, and innovation in the way training content is displayed and distributed Stay abreast of changes and updates to bank products and policies and verify the accuracy of information provided to learners Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments, and best practices Provide feedback to program participants and management regarding training outcomes Partner with the Learning & Development Coordinator to create and monitor training schedules and workshop registrations Verify instructional materials are relevant, accurate, and aligned with current industry standards and bank policies Mentor and coach Learning & Development Trainers Identify areas for improvement in training coordination and propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of learning and development processes Adhere to compliance with all federal bank regulations and laws, including those for consumer protection and the Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering Program Attend training as requested Participate in outside community activities as required Perform other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree 3 years' experience designing and developing training programs Banking experience preferred Proficient with Microsoft Office and other standard software applications to include virtual meeting platforms utilized for remote training sessions Proficient in learning technologies and LMS platforms Expertise in instructional design methodologies Data-driven mindset with experience in learning analytics Strong collaboration, creativity, and a commitment to continuous improvement in educational design Solid understanding of training needs with ability to understand different audiences Ability to identify training gaps and provide solutions for continuous employee development Maintain a professional demeanor at all times Excellent interpersonal skills Strong leadership and project management skills Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities Critical thinking and problem-solving skills High standards for integrity, honesty, professionalism, and work ethic Commitment to service excellence Ability and willingness to work with purpose and a strong sense of urgency Self-motivated, positive, and enthusiastic Self-starter with a strong desire to exceed expectations Maintain confidentiality discretion Ability to effectively work in collaboration with others to achieve business objectives Willing to grow and be challenged
