Fritz Aquatics (part of Fritz Industries) is looking for a

Graphic Designer

to support our in-house creative team. This role will beabout 60/40 production vs. creative design and will include packaging design, trade show graphics, marketing and sales materials, digital assets, social media content and more.

You’ll report to theHead of Creative / Marketing Managerand help elevate a growing portfolio of products in the aquarium and pet products category, as well as other internal and corporate projects.

This role is hybrid in-person / work from home. Routine weekly in-person days at our facility in Mesquite, Texas as-needed with occasional off-site local travel to vendors and other locations around the Dallas / Fort Worth area.

Responsibilities

Create design layouts and visual assets across print, packaging, digital, and trade show environments

Prepare clean, accurate, print-ready files — including packaging; labels, cartons, large-format graphics, sales collateral

Basic video editing (mostly short-form for social and ecommerce channels)

Maintain organized, properly named files

Photo editing, retouching for product photography

Track assets and revisions independently and keep projects moving

Collaborate with the creative lead, printers, vendors, sales team and other outside partners

Qualifications

3-5+ yearsexperience design or production art, in-house or agency

Strong packaging + print production skills (dielines, materials, file setup)

Rock-solid proficiency inIllustrator, Photoshop, InDesign

Comfortable in Adobe Premiere and After Effectsfor light edits or basic motion work; advanced skills are a bonus, not a requirement. DaVinci Resolve experience is also a plus.

Self-organized and comfortable managing multiple deadlines

Preferred

Degree or certificate in graphic design, advertising or related field

Experience with CPG, retail packaging, e-commerce

Motion/video capabilities (simple animations, basic editing)

Web, ecommerce, Figma

Experience or familiarity with related industries: pets, aquatics, life science.

What we want to see in your portfolio

Retail packaging examples:labels, cartons, multi-panel layouts or anything that shows you understand how design translates to physical products.

Work that spans formats: print, digital graphics, social assets, show how you can adapt a brand or message across different channels.

Brand or graphic elements: Logos, badges, icons or info-graphics – show that you can design something simple, sharp and self-contained.

Sets or systems: campaigns or product families that demonstrate consistency

Large-format or environmental graphics(bonus):banners, booth panels, tradeshow, signage, etc.

Motion or video edits(bonus):simple text animations, product highlights, social loops, GIFs.

Student/Spec work is okay — but we also need to see real professional projects.

Be clear about your role:What parts you personally handled (concepting, design, layout, production prep, etc.).
