As an Associate Director/Director, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and sharing the narratives of companies advancing groundbreaking scientific and medical innovations in the biopharma industry. You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of PhDs and communication strategists within LifeSci Communications, while also working alongside specialist teams in finance, consulting, recruiting, and more as part of the broader LifeSci Partners organization.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic lead across client programs, with a focus on product-driven communications for clinical and commercial-stage clients, including disease education, patient engagement, HCP engagement and advocacy relations
Partner with media relations, digital, creative, and analytics teams to deliver cohesive, integrated programs aligned with product strategy and broader corporate objectives
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing clear counsel on product positioning, data interpretation, competitive context, and evolving communications needs
Guide account teams in translating complex clinical and scientific information into clear, compelling, and compliant communications, including press materials, messaging platforms, investor and corporate content, website copy, and campaign narratives
Oversee execution of client programs to ensure quality, accuracy, timelines, and budget adherence, while proactively identifying risks and opportunities to elevate impact
Lead development of product communications strategies around key milestones such as data readouts, regulatory events, scientific congresses, and commercial launches
Maintain a strong understanding of the healthcare and biopharma media landscape, competitive environments, and emerging platforms to inform proactive planning and counsel
Collaborate with the Business Development team to support proposals and SOW development, while managing and growing client relationships through scope expansion and strategic evolution
Coach, mentor, and formally supervise team members, supporting growth in strategic thinking, writing quality, client leadership, and professional development
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 5-8 years of experience in communications within the biopharma and life sciences industry. Experience in a similar role is a requirement to be considered for this opening.
Demonstrated experience supporting key regulatory and clinical milestones and integrating into broader corporate narrative.
Strong understanding of
regulatory environment (U.S. required, E.U. preferred) , with experience navigating the medical legal and regulatory review process, as well as advocacy engagement strategies.
Experience serving as a client contact for communications programs with biopharmaceutical companies.
Experience supporting corporate milestones, data readouts and executive thought leadership initiatives.

The expected base salary range for this role is
$120,000–$150,000 for the Associate Director level
or
$150,000–$175,000 for the Director level , depending on experience, qualifications, and level of role alignment.
Our corporate headquarters is in New York City, with additional offices in Boston and San Diego. Applicants from Boston or San Diego area are also welcome to apply. Our teams enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule with expectations that you will spend 3 days per week in office.
