Responsibilities
Use company systems/tools (e.g., S2) to document and track sales activity in a timely and accurate manner, supporting win rates, volume, and customer satisfaction.
Understand and leverage manufacturers’ programs and resources to achieve market share targets.
Sell whole‑goods, parts, and services as a complete customer solution and build long‑term relationships within the assigned territory to maximize profitability.
Maintain awareness of competition, products, and industry trends.
Coordinate and conduct field demonstrations and operate machinery at customer work sites.
Evaluate machinery for resale values and apply proper trade‑in procedures.
Work with Sales Manager and New Equipment Ordering (NEO) to follow up on and expedite whole‑good orders.
Ensure timely follow‑up on sales to achieve customer satisfaction.
Coordinate delivery of equipment and pickup as needed.
Adhere to safety rules and company policies, and present a professional image of RDO Equipment Co. to customers and the community.
Participate in company training, meetings, and communication efforts.
Maintain a positive, professional relationship with peers, managers, and support resources to provide exemplary customer service.
Perform any additional duties assigned by management efficiently and professionally.
Job Requirements
Prior sales experience or related training.
Solid understanding of local market conditions.
Knowledge of resale values for machinery (plus).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent customer service orientation.
Proficient computer skills.
Valid U.S. work authorization; no company sponsorship required.
