
EPIC Senior Portfolio Strategy Analyst

Develop and implement innovative strategies for assessing customer financial strength and managing credit risk. Perform in-depth analyses and develop models that forecast customer behavior. Utilize analysis and model output to set appropriate credit limits and price loans, optimizing mitigation of credit risk and loan origination volume/profitability. Monitor and manage receivable portfolios to enhance cash flow and minimize bad debt exposure. Ensure all credit and collection activities comply with state and federal regulations and maintain strong relationships with credit agencies. Continuously improve debt recovery processes and establish clear goals for payment collections. Generate comprehensive monthly reports on payment collections and negotiate with customers to resolve ongoing payment issues.
What You’ll Do
Utilize data-driven methodologies to create and refine strategies for optimizing collections from high‑risk and delinquent accounts.
Collaborate with legal, operations, and account management teams to implement effective collection strategies, payment plans, and operational procedures.
Work closely with operations, product, and engineering teams to develop advanced modeling, platforms, and tools to enhance credit decisioning and collection efforts.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and testing plans to evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of credit risk models and collection strategies.
Develop and implement credit risk scorecards, loss forecasting methodologies, fraud prevention strategies, and collections scorecards.
Conduct thorough analysis and problem‑solving to address new product opportunities and policy changes, coordinating with various teams to ensure successful execution.
Evaluate new and existing data vendor products for effectiveness in credit decisioning, loss mitigation, etc., and consider the trade-offs of product costs and conversion‑rate impact.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in an analytics role.
Minimum 5 years in collections analytics or strategy role.
Minimum 5 years of experience using SQL, Python, or R for data retrieval and manipulation.
Experience in consumer finance – credit cards, auto loans, mortgages, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to grow, develop, and learn in a fast‑paced, start‑up environment.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Engineering, Economics, Math, Finance, Business, Computer Science, etc.
Proficient in MS Office products, particularly Excel.
