Overview
We are excited to partner with a high level Roofing Company with a diverse portfolio and a variety of projects. They are in need of an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator and/or a skilled Project Manager. The Estimator calculates preliminary job budgets and prepares formal bids by interpreting blueprints, performing take-offs, and estimating job costs. The Estimator/Project Manager also interfaces with clients to ensure that technical specifications and designs are feasible and consistent with industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop accurate and complete job estimates.
Identify project labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, written specifications, and related documents.
Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings to understand project scope.
Review blueprints and perform take-offs.
Solicit bids from subcontractors and gather subcontractor pricing.
Conduct scope reviews and evaluate subcontractor bids to ensure full scope coverage.
Assess subcontractor ability to perform the work.
Calculate costs of subcontract labor, general conditions, and materials.
Collaborate with clients to help achieve project cost budgets through consideration of plan details, alternative materials/finishes, and building methods.
Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and the Pre-Construction team to maintain relationships with clients and subcontractors.
Produce P&L reports.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in Commercial Roofing Estimation.
Working knowledge of commercial roofing documentation.
General contracting knowledge.
Ability to write and review contracts.
Experience with EDGE estimating software is a plus.
BS/BA in Construction, Engineering, or Business is a plus.
Knowledge of various roof systems, materials, construction processes, and theories.
Ability to identify, correct, and report unsafe conditions according to company and OSHA standards.
Compensation: $80k-$110k.
