Review and develop strategies to improve existing portfolio events and deliver proposals for new launch events or add-on products such as summits and workshops. Conduct research to identify innovative conference topics, write program content and source industry leaders as speakers. Collaborate with colleagues to select event timing and venues to maximize participation and position events against competitors. Build and maintain relationships with C-level and senior executives as program and event advisors. Identify emerging issues in the real estate industry and monitor political and macroeconomic trends affecting financial markets. Write event briefs and deliver them to team members from other departments working on the event. Write copy for event websites and marketing collateral; ensure the event meets its financial targets. Consult with event sponsors on speaking roles and topics to ensure appropriate positioning within the program. Work with the sales team to identify sponsor targets and join sales calls when necessary to aid the process. Provide the audience development team with targets and educate them on buy-sell dynamics for each event. Liaise with operations managers to ensure venues and hotels meet needs of each conference and its delegates. Coordinate with the coordination/customer success team to keep websites up-to-date and ensure speakers are informed of obligations.
