It starts with our people, which is why we need a Marketing & Business Development Manager to join our Marketing and Business Development team to develop and deliver innovative, high-impact business development and marketing strategies that drive growth, strengthen client relationships, and enhance the firm’s profile across key practice areas, industry sectors, and regions. You’ll work both locally and globally, collaborating with colleagues across offices and time zones. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to strategic initiatives that shape the firm’s future. You’ll be responsible for

Manage strategic business development initiatives across assigned practice areas and industry sectors, developing actionable plans that drive revenue and client engagement. Manage on the execution of projects and campaigns from start to finish, leveraging internal support, driving collaboration and innovation. Manage complex proposals and pitches, including strategy setting, content development, partner preparation, and post-pitch reviews. Develop and implement marketing campaigns and thought leadership programs that enhance the firm’s brand and visibility in key markets. Work closely with partners and lawyers to identify client opportunities, support cross-selling, and strengthen key client relationships. Collaborate across the department and sector BD teams to support priority client accounts and ensure alignment with firmwide client strategies. Oversee directory and award submissions, ensuring positioning reflects strategic priorities and showcases the firm’s strengths. Plan and execute events, sponsorships, and conferences, identifying opportunities for networking, client engagement, and measurable ROI. Manage budgets and ensure resources are used efficiently to achieve BD and marketing objectives. Share best practices across the global MBD team, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement. Track and report on business development activity, pipeline, and market trends, competitive intelligence to inform strategy and decision-making. Responsible for the line management of junior members of staff as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned Key Relationships

Business Development Directors and Associate Directors across global offices Partners, fee earners, and professional staff across all practice areas and regions Global Marketing and Communications teams Knowledge and Innovation teams Skills and experience required

Degree educated; a marketing or business qualification preferred At least 5 years’ experience in marketing or business development, ideally within professional services Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to present to key stakeholders. Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Experience and confident in managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously across multiple stakeholders and jurisdictions. Skilled at influencing and collaborating across all levels of an organization and deal professionally with all internal and external clients on all levels Positive, motivated, and adaptable with a strong sense of ownership Strong understanding of client relationship management and business development best practices Strong ability to work under pressure and with changing work priorities Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint BCLP is an equal employment opportunity employer.
