Each year thousands of community members also engage with Lehman through cultural educational health and economic outreach programs.The Division of Student Affairs assists students with social, personal, and emotional development with the goal of encouraging intellectual and ethical growth through programs, initiatives, clubs, leadership activities, and various community events. The Division is comprised of five subgroups: 1) Transition and Retention 2) Student Health, Wellness, and Inclusion 3) Leadership and Engagement 4) Career Exploration and Professional Development 5) Varsity Athletics, Intramurals, and the APEX. The division reports to the President.Lehman College is seeking a dynamic, student-centered leader to serve as Director of Residential Life. This is a critical leadership position that oversees the strategic direction, daily operations, and community-building efforts of the College's residential program, which supports approximately 200 students each semester. The Director fosters a living environment that promotes student well-being, academic success, equity, and belonging and is guided by student development theory, inclusive excellence, and trauma-informed practice.The Director of Residential Life reports directly to the Senior Director of Operations and Compliance and is a part of the Transition and Retention Subgroup.**Primary Responsibilities*** Provide overall leadership for Residence Life, including strategic planning, administrative decision-making, and program implementation.* Manage the daily operations of Housing and Residence Life, ensuring a high-quality residential experience.* Oversee fiscal operations, budgeting, revenue projections, and alignment with occupancy goals in partnership with Administration and Finance.* Supervise professional staff, residence life counselors, and student employees; provide training, mentorship, and performance management.* Administer housing contracts, billing processes, and housing policies, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.* Coordinate facilities work, capital projects, and vendor relationships to maintain safe and well-functioning residential environments.* Lead residential conduct processes, dispute resolution programs, and restorative practices in collaboration with Public Safety and the Office of the Dean of Students.* Communicate effectively with students, families, and campus partners regarding residential issues, policies, and student support.* Participate in the on-call rotation and provide leadership during crisis situations, emergencies, and after-hours incidents.* Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of residence life programs aligned with student development and learning outcomes.* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations—including Title IX, ADA, and VAWA—as well as CUNY and Lehman College policies.* Build and sustain productive partnerships with campus stakeholders to enhance the residential experience.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree and eight (8) years of related experience required.**Preferred Qualifications*** Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.* Four to six years of progressively responsible experience in housing, residence life, or student affairs.* Demonstrated expertise in student personnel administration, residential program management, group and organizational dynamics, and crisis response.Pay Range:$100,000 - $120,000 Salary commensurate with education and experience.**RFCUNY Benefits****Equal Employment Opportunity Statement**

RFCUNY serves as a fiscal agent and works closely with all the CUNY campus Grants Offices to perform the core functions of post-award financial management for CUNY research projects and sponsored programs. These functions include legal assessment and signing of agreements where RFCUNY is named as a fiscal agent; setting up award accounts; preparing sub-awards and assisting PIs in monitoring the work of the recipients of sub-awards; supporting project directors with hiring and managing research project and sponsored program staff; supporting the purchasing and paying for goods and services with grant and program funds; managing financial aspects of projects including accounts receivable, financial reporting, invoicing, budget monitoring, and cost compliance with uniform guidance; ensuring that sponsor financial requirements are met; monitoring compliance with applicable project and financial management rules and laws; supporting the management of independent and external audits and financial reviews; and providing data, information, management expertise, and other supports to CUNY’s research and sponsored programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
