About the Role Crucial for delivering tailored investment success to high-net-worth clients; the

Portfolio Specialist

manages and executes customized investment strategies. This role involves building, monitoring, and implementing investment strategies using trading and portfolio management tools, collaborating with Investment Operations and Wealth Management teams to meet client financial goals. They will develop tailored proposals, support account transitions, and ensure trading aligns with client objectives, requiring a deep understanding of financial markets and technology within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Be Doing

Portfolio Management & Monitoring

– Build and utilize internal portfolio monitoring tools to track allocations and ensure alignment with client objectives. Conduct ongoing portfolio analysis to maintain strategic consistency.

Client Proposals & Transitions

– Assist in crafting investment proposals and transition plans. Support seamless onboarding and portfolio shifts for new and existing clients

Trading & Execution

– Coordinate with trading team for efficient execution across asset classes. Monitor accounts and adjust portfolios based on market conditions and client needs.

Collaboration & Internal Support

– Present in client/prospect meetings as needed. Partner with internal teams to refine strategies and explore market opportunities. Contribute to multi-asset strategy development for clients with unique needs.

Ongoing Education & Market Insights

– Stay informed on global markets and macroeconomic trends. Educate internal teams on portfolio strategies and investment opportunities

Risk Management & Compliance

– Maintain awareness of risk metrics and regulatory requirements. Proactively identify and address potential risks.

Requirements What You’ll Need to Succeed

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field (CFA, CFP, or other certifications a plus)

Experience:

3 or more years of experience in portfolio management, trading, or related roles, with a focus on high-net-worth clients and customized portfolios. Strong understanding of financial markets

Tools & Technical Skills:

Trading/Reporting and Monitoring: Experience with some or all of the following - Eze, Black Diamond, Envestnet, Orion, Tamarac

Research Experience with some or all of the following - Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar Direct, YCharts

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, experience building internal tools and working with larger data sets

Communication & Collaboration

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly present complex investment concepts

Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, with a commitment to high levels of client service and satisfaction
