Under the general direction of the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), the Director of Pharmacy performs duties of considerable difficulty in organizing and supervising Pharmacy services. Provides Pharmacy Service oversight responsibility of RMCHCS Hospital, College Clinic, and Red Rock Clinic and Rapid Care. The Director of Pharmacy provides appropriate and proactive services to all customers of RMCHCS. Performs as Pharmacist and takes Pharmacy Call approximately 35% of the time. The Director of Pharmacy is responsible for completing all duties as assigned. Education: Graduation from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required. Experience: At least three (3) years’ acute hospital pharmacy management experience is required. Competent in the practice of hospital pharmacy (laws and regulations, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, sterile preparation, delivery and distribution systems, safety and infection standards, basic computer skills and ASHP standards of practice). Required Licensure/Certification(s): BLS certification required. (If BLS verification is not current upon hire must be obtained within three (3) months of hire.) Current licensure and registration as a Pharmacist in New Mexico required.
