Job ID: 3172330 | Amazon.com Services LLC. Senior Business Analyst for Amazon Device Global Logistics (DGL). This role is seated in Seattle, WA and focuses on driving strategic plans, managing large programs, and delivering data-driven insights across global logistics operations. Responsibilities
Support senior management by managing metrics reporting and performing data mining and big data analysis to provide strategic advice on business strategy. Collect business use cases, research and evaluate opportunities to help Amazon Devices leverage its data to support business functions through mathematical modeling. Analyze forecast and metrics data. Automate reports for promotional and project launch campaigns. Utilize database technologies, including SQL, ETL, and Oracle to design, develop, and evaluate innovative business intelligence tools and automated reports for campaign targeting and optimization. Transform complex business problems into mathematical models and provide data-driven solutions. Perform statistical analysis, including clustering, cross-session and panel data regression using R, SAS, STATA, and SPSS. Establish scalable, automated processes for large-scale data analyses, model development, validation, and implementation. Identify necessary metrics to increase understanding of the business, proactively identifying pain points or opportunities through systemic measurement. Present qualitative and quantitative analyses to key stakeholders by blending advanced reporting and project management skills. Retrieve and analyze data using Excel, SQL and other data management systems; partner with Analytics teams for complex data sets. Monitor existing metrics and collaborate with internal teams to identify process and system improvement opportunities. Support cross-functional teams on day-to-day execution of the program and drive medium to large operational enhancement projects. Basic Qualifications
Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights Experience with Excel Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders Experience with SQL Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of SQL, ETL or Oracle experience 3+ years of processing large, multi-dimensional datasets from multiple sources experience 3+ years of experience developing automated reporting using advanced MS Excel skills including macros Preferred Qualifications
