What is the purpose of this role?
We’re looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager: Growth and Retention to drive revenue from the inside out by turning first-time customers into repeat buyers and high-LTV loyalists. You’ll lead the execution of lifecycle campaigns that generate revenue through smart segmentation, behavioral automation, and personalized messaging. What is the role?
This role is directly tied to performance. Your work will impact repeat booking rates, churn, and customer lifetime value. You’ll help build journeys that move users from “interested” to “engaged” to “profitable,” primarily through email using Customer.io. What will you do?
Drive lifecycle marketing programs that maximize revenue and retention across the customer journey from onboarding through loyalty Build and optimize automated email campaigns in Customer.io using behavioral triggers and user data to deliver personalized, high-converting communications Lead the development of upsells, cross-sells, re-engagement flows, repeat booking nudges, churn prevention, and loyalty rewards Create and implement customer segmentation strategies that unlock the highest value cohorts and tailor offers, timing, and content accordingly Partner with creative and content teams to produce copy and assets that are both on-brand and performance-optimized Run A/B and multivariate tests to improve open rates, click-through rates, and conversions across lifecycle campaigns Track and report on lifecycle KPIs including retention, repeat purchase rate, LTV, churn, cohort performance, and campaign-driven revenue Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and CX to ensure accurate event tracking, trigger setup, and data flows Identify friction in the user journey and drive lifecycle initiatives to reduce churn and unlock under-monetized segments
What do you bring to DOOR?
3 to 5+ years of lifecycle, CRM, or retention marketing experience in a D2C environment with measurable revenue impact Hands-on experience with Customer.io or a comparable platform (Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo) including journey automation and segmentation Proven ability to generate revenue and improve retention through targeted email marketing strategies Deep understanding of lifecycle metrics and performance optimization techniques including A/B testing, conversion rate analysis, and segmentation Strong copywriting instincts and an eye for messaging that converts across different customer segments Proficiency in marketing analytics tools including Google Analytics and Excel or Sheets Deep expertise using AI tools to maximize efficiency, enhance personalization, and scale lifecycle execution with speed and accuracy Ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and execute quickly in a fast-moving environment Strong cross-functional communicator who can align marketing with product, operations, and support

What is required (travel & physical requirements)?
Occasional Travel to DOOR locations & talent fairs/conferences. This role is hybrid for candidates based in St. Louis, Missouri OR fully remote for candidates in all other states.
