
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for executing and supporting Layton Sports Cards’ social media presence across multiple platforms. This role focuses on publishing and scheduling content, supporting short-form video distribution, engaging with the community, and promoting live breaks, product releases, events, and e-commerce initiatives. The ideal candidate understands social media culture, stays current with trends, and has an interest in sports cards, collectibles, and live commerce.
Key Responsibilities
Content Scheduling & Publishing: Schedule and publish content across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X (Twitter), and YouTube Shorts
Coordinate with Video Editors, Breakers, and the Marketing team to ensure consistent and timely posting
Ensure content aligns with brand standards, voice, and platform-specific best practices
Assist with caption writing, hashtags, and formatting to optimize reach and engagement
Community Engagement: Monitor comments, messages, and mentions across social platforms
Engage with followers in a professional and on-brand manner
Escalate customer service issues or sensitive interactions to appropriate internal teams
Campaign & Promotion Support: Support promotion of live breaks, new product releases, in-store events, and online campaigns
Assist with social campaigns tied to major sports moments, hobby trends, and releases
Collaborate cross-functionally to highlight key products, personalities, and brand initiatives
Organization & Reporting
Maintain social media calendars and assist with content planning
Track basic performance metrics including engagement, reach, and views
Share insights and trends to support content optimization
Additional Duties: Stay informed on social media trends, algorithm updates, and best practices
Assist with other marketing and content-related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong understanding of social media platforms and short-form content trends
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Basic knowledge of sports cards, collectibles, or sports culture (or willingness to learn)
Proficiency with Google Workspace and social media tools
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in social media, marketing, or content coordination
Familiarity with live streaming, e-commerce, or creator-based content
Passion for the sports card or collectibles industry
Fast-paced marketing and e-commerce environment
Availability during evenings, weekends, and live events may be required
