GPS Impact is hiring a full-time Lead Editor & Motion Graphics Designer to join our growing Video Team. This position can be remote (pending location approval) or based in one of our physical office locations of Des Moines, IA, Kansas City, MO, Philadelphia, PA or Washington, DC. This is a seasonal position and will end on 12/1/2026.

We are a full-service public affairs and multimedia advertising agency with broad experience helping progressive candidates, advocacy groups, and organizations use integrated, strategic communications and advertising to achieve their goals. Responsibilities

Editing footage for video content for social media and TV production

Assembling footage, editing, color correction & sound design

Designing & animating graphic content for media production

Contributing motion graphic elements to larger productions

Brainstorming content ideas that use emerging trends and best practices

Collaborating with teammates across the organization

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in video editing and/or motion graphics

Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator

Experience on set for video shoots

High attention to detail

Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once

Highly motivated, and willing to take ownership of projects as well as pick up pieces of projects when needed and see them through to completion

Self starter who contributes original ideas

Ability to collaborate across teams

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, prioritize tasks, and learn quickly

Experience with political issues is a significant plus. Familiarity is essential.

This position is part of the collective bargaining unit (CBU) organized under Teamsters Local 696 and is a full-time, exempt position with a base salary of $81,793.00 annually. GPS Impact offers a benefits package including, dental, vision, matching 401(k) and paid time off.
