
Overview
This position will require an experienced transactional paralegal to provide paralegal and contract management support to Inspire Brands’ Technology/IT legal team. This team provides legal services and support to the Inspire Brands’ Technology and Commercial organizations at the enterprise level and across its portfolio of brands including, Dunkin’, Baskin-Robbins, Arby’s, Jimmy John’s, SONIC, and Buffalo Wild Wings. This position will be a key member of the team, working closely with legal colleagues, internal clients, and other business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Support the activities of the Technology/IT legal team, including drafting and negotiating agreements with attorney oversight, and handling other aspects of contract management. The types of agreements regularly handled include master service agreements, SaaS agreements, software license agreements, hardware and equipment purchase agreements, professional services agreement, consulting agreements, non-disclosure agreements, statements of work, order forms, amendments and various other vendor agreements to support the Technology and Commercial functions.
Assist the team with creating and updating contract templates.
Work directly with internal clients, legal and corporate colleagues, and vendors and their legal counsel.
Create and maintain internal legal and business facing standard operating procedures, best practices, and other resources to help drive efficiency and streamline the contracting process. This will include working with the Legal Department’s operations team to devise and implement technology enhancement requests.
Manage the intake of contract requests for the team via a contract lifecycle management tool, and assist the team in tracking department service levels and reporting of the Technology/IT legal function.
Assist with the creation of PowerPoint presentations for trainings and other purposes.
Perform other general legal and/or business duties and functions as may be assigned or required by business needs; assist or participate in special projects as needed.
Education and Experience Qualifications
4 year degree required
Paralegal certificate preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience as a paralegal or contract manager in a law firm and/or corporate environment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities
Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and drafting skills with great attention to detail.
Ability to manage client demands appropriately and work in a fast-paced environment where meeting deadlines is a priority and handling multiple matters simultaneously is expected.
Ability to work proactively and independently, meet deadlines and deliver on projects and tasks with minimal supervision, but remain a supportive and collaborative member of the team.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to successfully form and maintain business relationships with members of the business units the team supports.
Service oriented with strong project management skills and ability to balance priorities for the benefit of multiple internal clients.
Experience with technology or vendor contracts is a plus but not required.
Strong work ethic and demonstrates initiative.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience with a contract life cycle management tool is preferred but not required.
