We're looking for a
Technical Writer Intern
to help develop high-quality content for our Skyward software products-resources that support end users, internal teams, and training initiatives. You'll work hands-on with product owners, developers, customer service representatives, and other stakeholders to understand software functionality and transform it into well-structured, user-friendly documentation. What you'll do: Write and edit a variety of content types used in Skyward's content management system. Use department-standard authoring tools to structure and publish your work. Incorporate system variations across Student and Business Management platforms. Conduct research using internal tools and resources. Coordinate with multiple departments to gather information. Provide feedback to help improve the usability of Skyward software. Seamlessly integrate your writing into our established publishing processes. Track progress and information using internal systems. What you'll need:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's or associate degree. Excellent writing skills, with knowledge of, and adherence to, standard styles of software documentation Verbal communication skills, including strong interviewing skills to be able ask questions to obtain information relevant to documentation task Well organized and able to follow specific guidelines and procedures Appropriate interpersonal skills to be able to work well within a team environment Accuracy in work habits and data entry Demonstrated skills in learning information and procedures quickly Positions are 15-20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, when school is in session, with no time expectations during school breaks. When school is not in session (summer), interns may work up to 40 hours.
