Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a pleasant shopping environment and customer satisfaction.
Deliver friendly and efficient service while showing sincerity, patience, and respect in every customer interaction. Always thank customers for their business.
Greet customers with a warm welcome, assisting them with product locations, heavy item handling, and retrieving out-of-reach products.
Anticipate customer needs, effectively communicate, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues promptly to build loyalty.
Manage front-end operations to meet or exceed sales, profit, and labor goals while ensuring cleanliness and maintenance.
Develop work priorities and task lists to preserve efficient front-end conditions.
Ensure prompt checkout experiences, guiding associates to adhere to company policies, as well as local and federal regulations.
Train and support associates on front-end procedures to minimize shrink and waste.
Report any discrepancies in pricing or signage to the pricing coordinator.
Act as backup for the service operations manager as needed (excluding hiring and disciplinary actions).
Master checkout transactions and related policies, managing transactions and reports with accuracy.
Operate required equipment while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
Assist with various front-end functions, including checkout, stocking, bagging, cart collection, and cleaning.
Follow and promote food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe shopping environment.
Perform all essential functions of this position with or without accommodation.
Qualifications
Minimum
High School Diploma or GED.
At least 6 months of related experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
Friendly, approachable demeanor with a team-oriented mindset.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Desired
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
