The Automotive Purchasing Specialist is dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service in vehicle purchases and associated programs. This role involves acquiring vehicles, confirming the accuracy of necessary documentation, and ensuring that all forms are completed accurately. Responsibilities may also include facilitating vehicle sales and ownership transfers. Key Responsibilities: Ensure ownership documents align with VINs on the physical vehicles and comply with local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate appointments for vehicle pickups with customers and/or contract towing services. Procure all vehicles delivered to the store in accordance with relevant laws and company procedures. Log vehicles delivered each day into the CFJC database through handheld devices or manual entries. Process payments for vehicles and towing services, while managing daily financial summaries. Maintain an organized filing system for routing sheets, vehicle transfers, sales, and purchases. Handle incoming and outgoing phone calls and faxes proficiently. Sort, process, and ship necessary documents. Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required. Conduct due diligence for weekly exception lists relating to vehicle purchases. Perform additional tasks as needed. Qualifications: Proficient in basic computer skills including data entry and email communication. Effective communication skills for professional interactions with customers and vendors. Strong verbal and written communication abilities. Meticulous attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills. Capable of prioritizing multiple tasks efficiently. Able to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Flexible with work hours, including possibilities for overtime. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus. Willingness to learn and retain company policies and procedures. Basic automotive knowledge or experience is preferred but not mandatory. Physical Requirements: Regular standing, lifting, walking, bending, and stretching to fulfill customer care and safety responsibilities. Maintain facility cleanliness through necessary tasks such as mopping and sweeping. Vision must meet requirements for safe job performance. Ability to remain on feet for the entire shift. Working Conditions: Routine exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Occasional exposure to minimal chemical hazards.
