KPMG is seeking a dynamic Director of Client Security Engineering to join our Tax Ignition Group. In this pivotal role, you will help shape our approach to security inquiries and client interactions. Key Responsibilities: Lead efforts to address and respond to client security inquiries effectively. Engage with clients to clarify their security needs and negotiate compensating controls when product offerings may not fully meet those requirements. Drive innovation in our security inquiry processes by integrating Artificial Intelligence, developing supporting materials like whitepapers, tracking metrics, and enhancing tools for client interactions. Collaborate with various teams within the Tax technology functions and business units to incorporate the latest trends into product roadmaps and raise awareness of client security requirements. Review client security questionnaires and conduct comprehensive assessments. Create and maintain a knowledge base to streamline responses to common client security questions. Qualifications: At least ten years of recent experience in IT security compliance, risk management, or related IT security roles, ideally within a professional services firm or highly regulated environment. A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is preferred. A strong grasp of cloud architecture, modern software development, and technical security controls is essential; experience with Azure is a plus. Excellent executive presence, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills are required, along with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address complex security challenges. Demonstrated client-facing experience, particularly in security inquiries, negotiations, and relationship management; a proven track record of fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Knowledge of authoritative industry standards such as COBIT, NIST, and ISO standards; relevant certifications (CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Auditor, etc.) are preferred. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship.
