We are currently looking for a dynamic Director of Learning and Development in Tax to join our Learning and Development team. In this role, you will play a key role in enhancing learning experiences for both internal team members and external partners.
This position involves occasional in-person meetings and travel. As the Director of Learning and Development, you will collaborate closely with Practice and function leaders to identify and prioritize learning and talent requirements across the organization. Your responsibility will be to develop innovative, impactful solutions that enhance business performance while leveraging data and building strong relationships throughout the Aprio community. You will report to the Director of Learning Operations, taking a vital role in augmenting the learning experiences at Aprio.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with leaders to assess and prioritize current and future learning and talent needs, aligning them with the strategic goals of Aprio.
Design and propose forward-thinking learning solutions that utilize adult learning principles to effectively address identified needs.
Act as a strategic consultant to Practice leaders, engaging in discussions to identify business challenges, performance gaps, and appropriate learning interventions.
Collaborate with the Learning Experience Design Studio, providing expertise and feedback to develop engaging learning solutions.
Establish and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, including technical experts and senior leaders, to foster acceptance and continuous improvement of learning solutions.
Utilize learning analytics and metrics to assess the effectiveness of learning initiatives and suggest enhancements.
Enhance the visibility and reputation of Aprio's Learning and Development function by creating a quality portfolio of learning experiences.
Work with Aprio Alliance leaders to create valuable learning offerings for Alliance members that can be marketed externally.
Engage with stakeholders to thoroughly understand their learning and talent development needs and translate these insights into actionable design requirements.
Mediating differing perspectives on learning approaches, resolve conflicts, and guide teams toward effective solutions.
Present compelling ideas and strategies to diverse audiences, including executives, to ensure alignment and enthusiasm for learning initiatives.
Collaborate with the Manager of Learning Operations to establish workflows, ensure quality assurance, and manage design work efficiently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in designing and delivering learning solutions.
7+ years of technical experience in learning and development is essential.
Previous experience with software applications such as Cognota, Performitiv, and LCvista is preferred.
Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design methodologies, and learning metrics.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate talent and learning needs, designing impactful development programs.
Experience in change management, partnering with leaders to drive organizational transformation through learning.
Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to establish trust across diverse groups.
Strong skills in discovery conversations, needs assessment, and transforming insights into creative learning solutions.
Confidently manage conflict and influence outcomes when stakeholders have differing viewpoints.

The salary for this position ranges from $150,000 to $225,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
