Compensation Overview
The annual base salary range for this role is $52,600.00 - $86,800.00. This range is based on various factors including the role's scope, the candidate's skills and experience, and location. Alongside a comprehensive benefits program, employees are eligible for performance-based cash incentives.
What Is the Opportunity?
This position services insureds and agents in the Prince George County, MD area, and candidates must reside within this territory. Ideal locations include Upper Marlboro, Bowie, or Laurel, MD. A company vehicle will be provided.
As an Associate Claims Representative, you will undergo extensive training in claims handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while collaborating with experienced professionals. During the 9-12 month training program, you will develop the skills necessary to independently manage first-party property claims.
This role will be primarily remote, involving work at residential and commercial sites, as well as the option to work from your home or nearest Travelers office. As part of the hiring process, candidates will be required to complete an online pre-employment assessment.
What Will You Do?
Engage actively in training classes covering insurance policies and claim processes, delivered through various formats including virtual and on-the-job training.
Review, investigate, and document first-party property claims under close supervision.
Gather information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses, and third-party providers.
Investigate and assess all relevant facts, determining coverage for building damages per policy terms.
Establish the accurate scope of damages and prepare written estimates.
Provide professional and timely communication to customers, claimants, and internal stakeholders.
Maintain precise records of claim activities in management systems.
Commit to continuous learning, particularly in AI and digital transformation.
Adapt to new technologies and system upgrades while ensuring service quality.
Obtain and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) within three months of starting the job.
Participate in our Catastrophe Response Program, which may require deployment to assist customers in other states.
Ability to access and inspect all areas of a dwelling or structure, including physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders and entering tight spaces.
Perform other assigned duties as needed.

What is a Must Have?
High School Diploma or GED with one year of customer service experience, or a Bachelor's Degree.
Valid driver's license.
