
Finance Manager, Amazon Advertising, Advertising Deaks Desk

The Amazon Advertising Deals Desk (ADD) team is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Finance professional to join the ADD team and manage core aspects of the Direct Advertiser Agreements program (Deal Desk). This includes holistic ownership of Benchmarking, Deal Evaluation, Negotiating Deal terms and driving monetization initiatives.
The successful candidate will be an experienced finance professional equally comfortable thinking big and driving the business long-term direction while excelling at analyzing business inputs and making decisions in ambiguous situations. They will have a track record of understanding the inputs for successful investments, relentlessly high standards, and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders. They will thrive in diving deep to analyze complex business problems, creating measurement and analytical frameworks to assess tradeoffs, understand impact to drive top-line growth and create investment guardrails, while clearly communicating actionable recommendations.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Single-threaded owner for all matters regarding Advertiser Agreements, these are medium and longer term Ads revenue contract.
- Lead the Deal Desk and support negotiations with Sales and Product leaders across all Ad Verticals and Products for Direct Advertiser agreements for US.
- Develop quantitative models necessary for evaluation and implementation of new Go to Market strategies.
- Analyze and test alternatives to continually refine our thinking on driving incremental Ads revenue
- Manage and execute entire projects or components of large projects from start to finish including, data gathering and analysis, problem solving, and clear communication of insights and recommendations.
- Partner with cross functional teams such as, Product, Sales, Legal, Accounting and broader Finance teams for automation and scalability.
- Drive controllership agenda and build best in class reporting to assist in the creation of Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews (WBR).
- Audit business/financial performance regularly and coordinate with other stakeholder teams including Accounting, Product and partner Finance teams.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
- 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 4+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
