Currently seeking a full-time Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist in Ankeny, Iowa. To qualify, candidates must have or be eligible for an Iowa CTRS license. This role delivers recreation therapy within a transdisciplinary team serving individuals with brain injuries and neurological conditions.

Position Highlights:

Schedule: Monday-Friday (rotating weekends & holidays) Hours: 8:00-4:30pm (typically - may also require rotating evenings) Location: Ankeny, Iowa

Responsibilities of the Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS):

Assess individual leisure and recreational interests for persons served. Develop and implement individualized and group recreation therapy interventions. Facilitate activities within the facility and in the community. Coordinate evening/weekend programs and special events. Complete documentation including assessments, goals, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Collaborate closely with the transdisciplinary rehabilitation team to support holistic recovery. Requirements of the Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS): Ability to maintain CPR certification (training provided if needed) Activity Chauffeur's license OR ability to obtain (On With Life will provide financial assistance) Must be available for rotating holiday shifts & every 3rd weekend shifts (unless weekend-only)
