
Associate Trade Sales Consultant
The Associate Trade Sales Consultant role is designed to prepare an individual for a position as an outside Trade Sales Consultant. This position requires learning and understanding the Pella product offering and quoting system, as well as interaction with a wide variety of builders, contractors, and homeowners. The Associate Trade Sales Consultant role is designed to prepare the successful candidate for outside sales after 6-18 months (time frame may vary depending on the specific candidate and the availability of sales consultant positions). The Associate Sales Consultant will mentor with a Trade Sales Consultant within the branch and will initially spend time in a Pella Showroom providing sales support to all customers explaining the Pella Value package. This is a full-time Monday - Friday position. This position will work on-site and at times drive to Pella showrooms, job sites, and customer/contractor locations. Associate Trade Sales Consultant Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Assist in the sales process in the field and in the Pella Showrooms. Assist in building and maintaining strong customer relations Assist in blueprint reading. Support Sales team using PQM and CRM to generate quotes and track customer interactions Attend Pella Sales Training and any local workshops as they become available Represent Pella as needed at company sponsored events, professional group's invitations to discuss and/or present Pella products, trade association meetings and/or builder home shows. Acquire in-depth knowledge of Pella's offering and the competitive landscape Develop an understanding of and adhere to the Trade Selling Process in all aspects of sales related interactions Collaborate with the Operations teams to ensure successful after sale service requirements Occasionally work variable, non-traditional hours and make oneself available for customers during evenings and weekends. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to drive an automobile, stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment varies between low to moderate in administrative offices and to moderate on constructions sites. Travel The vast majority of travel will be local.
