
Outside Sales Engineer - DMGN

Our consulting group provides a full array of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings, and our technical services group provides start-up services on complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. We are searching for an Outside Sales Engineer for our office in Castro Valley, CA. This is an exciting opportunity to directly impact our organization and customer outcomes. The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in sales, manufacturing and/or engineering. The ability to communicate well and work with others is essential, as this position will interact daily with multiple internal and external teams. The Outside Sales Engineer is responsible for the following job duties: Selling DMG Distribution Products to select accounts Promoting the product lines we represent and the DMG name. Assisting customers with their operational objectives by advising on proper application and selection of equipment Provide technical support on our product lines Develop and maintain solid working relationships through verbal and written correspondence with customers and the manufacturers we represent Periodic travel for training, industry meetings and customer entertainment Experience: 5-7 years of successful direct, outside sales experience HVAC and/or Construction Experience Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering Degree preferred, but will consider equivalent direct industry related job experience Critical Skill Set: Must be extremely detailed oriented and self-motivated Customer service and sales driven Solid interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written Successful negotiator Thrives in a fast paced, multi-task environment Compensation: $80-$120k annually DOE, plus generous commission structure We offer excellent health benefits, a 401(k) Plan, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays and flexible scheduling.
