We're looking for a Visual Designer who is detail‑oriented and comfortable with ambiguity. In this role, you will leverage experimentation and performance data to inform your approach. The Visual Designer will create best‑in‑class layouts and visuals that support organizational objectives while partnering with marketing teams to ensure that designs meet our customer and business needs. This role provides a great opportunity to make an outsized impact by collaborating closely with talented marketing, business, and tech leaders to unlock cross‑category discovery.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Create best‑in‑class visual design assets.
  • Execute and translate business needs into design solutions.
  • Present concepts and produced work to stakeholders and internal customers, including senior management.
  • Understand and respond to performance data (metric tests, usability studies), and steer the direction of future creative designs.
  • Understand usability principles that help drive successful design.
  • Work cross‑team and synthesize feedback and input from stakeholders.
  • Expertise in animation to help create bar‑raising motion designs.
  • Expertise in Figma to help create bar‑raising creative.

About the Team

The Amazon North America Creative team is responsible for crafting bold, efficient, and breakthrough marketing content to reach and resonate with today's audience. We aspire to meet customers wherever they may be—on social media, on their phones and devices, across the site, in their inboxes—and provide easy ingresses to the site via beautiful, inclusive, inspiring, and innovative content. We believe in creative that speaks to our customers, reinforces the Amazon brand promises (selection, value, and convenience) and highlights our best offerings—be that top brands, offers, member benefits, etc.—while driving the business forward and meeting our marketing goals.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of design experience.
  • Available online portfolio.
  • Knowledge of branding guidelines and corporate identity, visual design, print and digital layout design, with experience designing for both mobile and desktop applications.
  • Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments while maintaining commitment to deadlines.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
  • Highly proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite, and related design and production software.
  • Bachelor’s degree in visual communications, graphic design or related field.
  • Understanding of the web production process; familiarity with post‑production retouching.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with e‑commerce, search, social, and other major application types and their UX patterns.
  • Experience with motion design and video editing is a bonus.
  • Knowledge of key technology and market trends.
  • Experience delivering high‑quality design solutions in a collaborative team environment.
  • Relentlessly high standards (never satisfied with the status quo).
  • Ability to drive the design process by independently defining requirements, scoping projects, and prioritizing tasks.
  • Usage of generative AI tools to enhance workflow efficiency, and willingness to learn effective prompting and evaluation practices.
  • Ability to recognize opportunities where generative AI could enhance products, workflows, or customer experiences.

Salary & Benefits

Base salary range depends on location. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
