American Express Company seeks Analysts, Enterprise Strategy to support enterprise-wide strategic initiatives by conducting research, generating insights, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive long-term planning, innovation, and business impact. Define priorities, uncover trends, and identify opportunities that support long-term planning across the company’s product and business portfolio. Contribute to end-to-end project workstreams, including problem scoping, structuring, and conducting complex quantitative and qualitative analyses. Develop and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership based on robust analysis, market insights, and business impact assessments. Drive high-impact corporate initiatives and strategic resolutions across business units to address enterprise-level opportunities and challenges. Partner with cross-functional teams to support redesign of product offerings, incorporating customer feedback and identifying areas for continuous improvement. Position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering Management, Economics, or a related field, and 2 years of experience with analyzing customer and market data to identify actionable trends and inform strategic decision-making. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: analyzing complex internal performance data and market trends using advanced data mining techniques to uncover business opportunities; conducting competitive benchmarking and market analyses to inform business strategy; developing financial models to forecast business scenarios, assess initiatives, and support investment decisions; developing executive-level business cases to evaluate new initiatives and support enterprise planning; leading cross-functional workstreams and coordinating inputs across teams to align on strategic goals; designing and implementing strategic initiatives based on data-driven business cases and cross-functional planning; synthesizing and presenting strategic insights to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership; advanced Microsoft Excel for financial modeling; application of strategic frameworks, including Porters’ Five Forces, SWOT analysis, and cost-benefit analysis, to support enterprise planning; and data visualization tools, including Tableau and Power BI. Telecommuting is available up to 2 days per week.
