A registered nurse with expertise in operating room care is sought for a contract position in Punta Gorda, FL. This opportunity involves providing skilled nursing care for both adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of operating room experience required Pediatric operating room experience required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory; Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) preferred Degree accreditation on profile or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience Prior travel nursing experience is highly preferred Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Records system advantageous Must reside within 50 miles of the permanent address due to radius policy Position Details: Shift: 12-hour night shifts on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, no call on these days Call responsibilities include various types of call shifts, averaging about 4 calls per month; details to be discussed during interview Floating within the unit and potentially to sister campuses required, prioritizing travelers for floating assignments Surgical specialties covered include ENT, general surgery, vascular and endovascular procedures, robotics, dental, gynecology, orthopedic, spine, and neurosurgery Candidates must provide full demographic information at submission (address, email, birthdate, social security number, RN license number) for verification purposes Schedule or time-off requests must be included with application, as modifications are not approved after submission The facility values a strong culture where travelers integrate fully and are expected to perform as essential staff members Location Overview:Punta Gorda, FL provides a welcoming environment characterized by beautiful waterfront views and a warm climate.
