
We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Revenue Lead to oversee all aspects of revenue recognition, billing operations, and revenue forecasting across a growing portfolio of distributed generation solar and storage assets. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about building scalable processes that support growth and transparency.
The Revenue Lead will partner closely with FP&A, Power Marketing, Project Structuring, and Asset Management teams to ensure accurate and timely revenue reporting, while also driving improvements in systems, controls, and analytics. This is a high-impact role with visibility to senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Operations & Recognition
• Own the end-to-end revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
• Ensure accurate and timely invoicing across multiple revenue streams (e.g., PPAs, Community Solar subscriptions, VDER, RECs, capacity payments).
• Partner with Accounting and FP&A to align revenue recognition with financial reporting and forecasting.
• Develop and maintain a centralized revenue data infrastructure to support reporting, forecasting, and audit readiness.
• Design and implement dashboards and analytics tools to monitor revenue performance, trends, and anomalies.
• Collaborate with IT and Data teams to ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across systems.
• Leverage data insights to support strategic decision-making and continuous process improvement.
Process Optimization & Systems
• Lead initiatives to automate and streamline revenue processes, including ERP and billing system enhancements.
• Develop new processes & controls to support transition to third party managed service for billing and invoice management.
• Collaborate with IT and external vendors to implement scalable solutions for revenue data management and reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Power Marketing and Asset Management to validate revenue inputs and assumptions.
• Support Project Structuring and Capital Markets teams with revenue modeling for new projects and financings.
• Coordinate with Legal and Commercial teams to interpret contract terms and ensure proper revenue treatment.
Controls & Compliance
• Develop and maintain internal controls over revenue processes.
• Support internal and external audits, including SOX compliance and tax equity reporting requirements.
Leadership & Team Development
• Build and lead a high-performing revenue operations team.
• Provide mentorship and career development opportunities to team members.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in revenue operations, accounting, or finance, ideally within renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of ASC 606 and complex revenue arrangements.
• Experience in overseeing third party managed service providers
• Experience working in a private equity-backed environment is a strong plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, advanced Excel skills, and/or analytics tools, such as powerBI Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
