We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Commercial HVAC Sales & Design Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing client relationships, and providing customized HVAC design solutions for commercial projects. Your expertise will contribute to the successful design, sales, and implementation of HVAC systems for a variety of commercial applications. The Commercial HVAC Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for commercial HVAC projects, including new installations, replacements, and retrofits. This role involves reviewing project specifications, conducting site visits, and working closely with engineers, contractors, and project managers to ensure accurate and competitive bids. *Essential Duties and Responsibilities:** Develop and maintain relationships with key commercial clients, contractors, engineers, and facility managers.
* Collaborate with clients to assess their HVAC needs, and design customized HVAC solutions that meet their specifications, energy efficiency goals, and budget.
* Prepare accurate and competitive proposals, including system designs, product recommendations, and pricing.
* Conduct on-site assessments and load calculations for HVAC system design and equipment selection.
* Work closely with installation and service teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Track project timelines and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction.
* Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations.
* Develop detailed HVAC system designs, including load calculations, equipment selection, ductwork layouts, and piping schematics.
* Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates for commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration systems.
* Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing for materials and services.
* Monitor project budgets and update estimates as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
* Continuous Improvement: Participate in post-project evaluations to assess estimating accuracy and identify areas for improvement in future bids. *Minimum Qualifications*: * Proven experience in commercial HVAC sales, design, and/or engineering (3+ years preferred).
* Strong knowledge of commerical HVAC systems, including but not limited to cooling, heating, ventilation, and control systems.
* Proficiency in HVAC load calculation software and system design tools.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Strong customer service orientation with a focus on providing solutions that best meet client needs.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial hvac/refrigeration industry.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, teams, etc.).
