Job Summary

At Carhartt, the Creative Lead - Ecommerce will oversee the art direction and execution for e-commerce product photography and video. This role oversees on-figure and flat product shoots, supporting video content, and quarterly stylized flat campaigns. The Creative Lead - Ecommerce partners cross-functionally with Merchandising, Production, Marketing, and Creative leadership to ensure brand-elevating, visually cohesive assets across all digital channels.

Additional responsibilities in developing concept and/or production designs to support monthly communications across Carhartt digital platforms would include but not be limited to; Carhartt.com, email, DR, paid search, and social channels.

Associate Responsibilities

E-Commerce Photography (On-Model & Flats) Lead creative direction for all e-commerce product shoots on-figure (model) and flat lay photography, ensuring consistency in lighting, styling, composition, and brand visual language Maintain image guidelines for lighting, color calibration, posing, and product presentation Partner with stylists, photographers, producers, and sample coordinators to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality output Photography, Retouching & Color Expertise

Review retouching for accuracy, realism, and brand tone; create retouching guidelines and feedback loops Ensure all product imagery meets strict standards for detail, accuracy, and color fidelity. Video Art Direction & Post-Production

Guide motion crews on lighting, framing, movement, and narrative consistency Oversee editing, color grading, and final delivery to ensure videos feel cohesive with photography and brand design Quarterly Stylized Flat Photoshoots

Lead creative concepting for seasonal stylized flat shoots used for editorial, social, email, and brand storytelling Develop creative direction, shot lists, mood boards, and styling guidance Work with set designers, stylists, photographers, and producers on props, color palettes, and visual themes Design & Creative Leadership

Execute design and creative development for assigned projects across a variety of platforms including ecommerce, email, DR, paid search, social, owned retail, and brand programs Maintain our visual identity within the style guide supporting digital product and brand imagery Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand business needs, brand strategy, and seasonal priorities Define and refine workflows, ensuring efficient production while maintaining premium quality standards Mentor junior creatives and studio staff, providing feedback and fostering a culture of creative excellence Required Education

Bachelor's degree in advertising, design/visual communication, or equivalent years of work experience may be considered in lieu of degree Advertising portfolio school background is preferred, but not required if the candidate has a portfolio of work demonstrating his or her ability to create smart, strategic, and award-winning creative work Required Skills & Experience

7+ years experience in art direction, commercial photography, or creative studio roles within fashion/apparel or other equivalent. Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in e-commerce photography, on-figure shoots, flat lay styling, and video direction. Deep expertise in photography, retouching, color accuracy, and visual storytelling with strong leadership and production management skills. Advanced understanding of studio lighting, digital photography, color theory, and composition. Strong background in art directing retouching and color workflows; advanced knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, etc.). Proven ability to concept and execute stylized content and campaign-level visuals. Exceptional eye for detail, consistency, and brand alignment. Strong communication and on-set management skills. Proficient in design software with a preferred 2-3 years of experience in digital design systems, i.e. Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision, etc. Strong presentation skills - experience presenting to creative directors and clients preferred Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Typical office environment; office setting. Extended periods of time sitting, standing, typing on a computer is required Willing to work some evenings and weekends if necessary National travel required (up to 15%) This position has a Hybrid location: Associate will work on-site regularly as needed for work activities.
