Mutomobility is hiring: UI / UX Product Designer in Town of Belgium
Mutomobility, Town of Belgium, WI, US
At Muto, we're on a mission to make corporate mobility management effortless. Our platform simplifies the complex world of vehicles, contracts, and employee mobility data into one intelligent system, helping companies manage mobility-as-a-benefit with clarity, automation, and collaboration.
We're looking for a UI/UX Product Designer to scale and elevate the user experience of our platform. You'll join an established design practice with strong foundations already in place, working alongside our Design lead ~~~~and engineering partners to ship features that drive product-market fit.
This is Muto's first internal design role, an opportunity to grow from execution excellence into a pivotal position as we scale, with clear pathways to grow as the team expands.
As UI/UX Product Designer, you'll be the design voice in our cross-functional product team, collaborating closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to solve real user and business problems from discovery through to delivery and adoption.
You'll split your time between understanding problems (user research, validation) and designing solutions (wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs), working on outcomes and ensuring our platform is intuitive and scalable for users managing complex mobility operations.
Reporting & Collaboration: You'll report to the Head of Product with close day-to-day collaboration with our Design lead, partnering with our engineering and design teams (external partners) who are deeply embedded in our product development.
- Conduct user research and lead discovery workshops with stakeholders to explore problems, validate assumptions, and test solutions.
- Perform competitive benchmarking and gather insights through customer interactions and collaboration with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams.
Solution Design & Delivery
- Design intuitive interfaces for complex, data-rich workflows in Figma, from wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes.
- Scale and evolve our existing design system to ensure consistency, speed, and quality across the platform.
- Translate user needs and business constraints into design solutions that are feasible and scalable.
- Work with Product Management to balance value, usability, feasibility, and viability.
- Partner with Engineers during delivery to refine solutions based on technical constraints.
- Navigate feedback from diverse stakeholders while maintaining a clear design vision.
- Validate solutions through usability testing and monitor adoption metrics and customer feedback.
- 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS product design, ideally with complex, data-rich applications or AI-first software.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Strong proficiency in design tools like Figma: able to translate ambiguity into tangible designs and prototypes ready to be shipped.
- Experience applying and maintaining design systems or component libraries.
- Proven ability to run the end-to-end design process: from user research and problem exploration to solution design, validation, and iteration.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams with Product Managers and Engineers, navigating trade-offs between quality, feasibility, and timelines.
- Systems thinking: you understand how changes in one area impact the broader product, including the design system.
- Strong communication skills: you can present complex ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
- Comfortable in a high-pace, rapidly-changing environment with multiple stakeholders. You're resilient and know when a design is "good enough to ship" vs. when to push for perfection.
- Knowledge of design fundamentals such as personas, Jobs to be Done (JTBD), and user-centered design methodologies.
Big plus if you have:
- Experience designing for AI-powered features or AI-first products.
- Familiarity with dual-track agile or similar product development methodologies.
- Brand building affinity in combination with design systems
- In-depth knowledge of design systems: scaling component libraries, working with design tokens, and establishing best practices
- Service design experience for facilitating workshops and stakeholder sessions
Fluent in Dutch (for conducting user research with Dutch-speaking customers): this is highly valuable for conducting nuanced research with our local customer base
- Muto's first internal design role: shape the future of design at a fast-growing SaaS startup redefining corporate mobility.
- A fair and competitive salary package
- 32 days of paid time off (PTO) to recharge and relax.
- Your choice of a company car with a charging card or a mobile budget tailored to your needs
- A flex income plan through Payflip (Only when based in Belgium)
- Meal vouchers and a net allowance to support your daily expenses.
- Hybrid work policy: Enjoy hybrid work flexibility while also benefiting from in-person collaboration at our offices in Belgium & The Netherlands.
- Work alongside awesome colleagues in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that fosters collaboration and growth.
