We are seeking a highly skilled Border Patrol Agent to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in enforcing laws and protecting the nation's borders.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.
- Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions, utilizing infrared scopes during night operations.
- Interpreting physical evidence of illegal entry, performing farm checks, building checks, traffic checks, city patrols, transportation checks.
- Patrolling international boundaries using various government assets such as vehicles, vessels for law enforcement duties.
Benefits
An exciting opportunity with excellent base pay: $63 ,148 - 120, </span145 per year; locality pay varies by duty location; overtime up to 25%. Additional incentives include recruitment incentives up to 20, 00 for newly appointed agents; retention incentive up to 40, 00 distributed over four years.
