Position Overview A well-established general contractor specializing in

academic, institutional, and commercial interior construction

is seeking an experienced

Senior Superintendent

to oversee on-site operations for projects ranging from

$1M–$15M . This individual will be responsible for leading field execution on complex interior fit-outs and renovations, often within occupied or active facilities.

The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, technical knowledge of interior construction, and experience working in higher-education or institutional environments where coordination, scheduling, and safety are critical.

Key Responsibilities Lead all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout Manage subcontractors, site logistics, and daily field operations Maintain project schedules and coordinate sequencing of trades Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company and site-specific policies Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Inspectors Oversee quality control and ensure work is completed in accordance with plans and specifications Coordinate inspections, punch lists, and turnover activities Maintain accurate daily reports, site documentation, and progress updates

Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on

interior renovation / fit-out projects Strong background in

academic, institutional, or commercial interiors Experience managing projects in the

$1M–$15M

range Proven ability to work in occupied buildings and active campuses Strong understanding of MEP coordination, finishes, and interior xsgimln systems Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficient with construction schedules and field documentation

Preferred Experience Higher education or academic facility construction Phased renovations and fast-track interior projects Working in regulated or sensitive environments
