THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION
Overview Role: Manages the loan application process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete, facilitates communication between lenders and clients. Performs commercial loan annual reviews on existing business relationships by reviewing submitted financial information from borrowers in compliance with Credit Union member business policy. Interprets financial information to make recommendations on credit quality and assess borrower risk. Aids in training programs for serviced Credit Unions. Offers support to the Commercial Loan Underwriter for new credit request submissions as needed.
Responsibilities
Prepare loan documents for both new and renewed commercial loans, ensuring that all prepared loan documents are in compliance with loan approval terms.
Order appraisals, flood determinations, environmental assessments, tax and lien searches, and other documentation required from third-party resources.
Perform periodic reviews on existing commercial loan accounts through assessing borrower financial information to determine credit risk factors. Provide substantive written narratives with credit recommendations based on analyzed financial information in adherence to member business policies.
Submit requests to closing attorneys for real estate title, MLI/survey, and closing documentation. Review documents received from the closing attorney for accuracy and completeness. Correspond with the closing attorney to satisfy any additional requests or information verification to ensure timely closings.
Facilitate loan application intake with contracted Credit Unions. Review all application documentation for completeness. Create and maintain loan files in network drive for both new and renewed commercial loans.
Assist with processing financial information onto the commercial loan presentation spreadsheet for new commercial loan requests when needed.
Open new business accounts in Episys core system. Comply with commercial loan file maintenance, record retention, and NDBS filing systems.
Prepare various reports periodically as requested by management.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness.
Comply with requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, NCUA Rules and Regulations, and any other regulations pertaining to the job as described and credit union operations.
Knowledge and Skills
Experience:
Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education:
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or 5+ years of experience.
Interpersonal Skills:
Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, occasionally stand and walk (including up and down stairs), use hands and fingers, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
